Description: You must configure this setting at EDI Session level to validate the container weight values posted through Preadvise, LoadList and DischargeList EDI messages.
Values:
This setting has two options:
Warning – If you select this option, N4 will validate the container weight values posted through the EDI message and display a warning if the gross weight / VGM weight is more than the safe weight (in case of full container) or is not equal to the ISO tare weight (in case of empty container). However, N4 will post the EDI batch and create the unit record with the weight received in the EDI message.
Error – If you select this option, N4 will validate the container weight values posted through the EDI message and display an error message if the gross weight / VGM weight is more than the safe weight (in case of full container) or is not equal to the ISO tare weight (in case of empty container). N4 stop posting the EDI batch if the weight fails validation.
For LoadList and DischargeList EDI transactions, this setting will validate both the gross and VGM weights against safe and tare weights. Whereas, for a preadvise EDI transaction, this setting will validate only the gross weight against safe and tare weights.
Default: If you do not enable this setting, then N4 by default would post the EDI batch without performing weight validation.
Feature: EDI
Related Settings: ARGOLOADLIST009 (LDL_VALIDATE_WEIGHT) and ARGODISCHLIST007 (DISCH_VALIDATE_WEIGHT). The functionality of these two settings are included in this new setting ARGOEDI033. Hence, from N4 version 3.9 these two settings ARGOLOADLIST009 and ARGODISCHLIST007 will get deprecated.
